Suzanne – Council Member

Hi, I’m Suzanne and I’ve been a member of our shul along with my husband and two children for a good few years now. We joined as associate members originally when we were looking for a local Cheder where our older child could start learning Hebrew in the few years prior to his Bar Mitzvah. Although we didn’t know any of the community and we weren’t full members at the time, we were welcomed warmly and it soon became the natural next step to become full members. We have gone on to form some great friendships in our community.

I am multilingual and I have a keen interest in Jewish history and the traditions which have kept our people going for thousands of years. Leading Cheder classes gives me the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for learning about Judaism with our youngest members – it’s a real privilege.
